Harmonious Function:
You live the realization of your “inner” truth. You perceive your inner voice/intuition and trustfully surrender to its guidance. You bring your inner world, your feelings, unadulterated to the outside world. You are honest with yourself, a characteristic of a truly liberated personality. Your openness to prejudice and inner breadth make you open to the subtle dimensions and cosmic energies. Other characteristics include communication skills, harmonious self-awareness, confidence in speech and tone, and a well-developed individuality.

Disharmonious function
An unbalanced throat chakra manifests itself in an overemphasis on the intellect as well as in shyness, inhibitions, confusion, fear of isolation, loneliness, lack of expression, fear of one’s own opinion, speech disorders, stuttering, desire for fame, intolerance, escapism, striving for power.

Unconscious feelings of guilt and fear prevent us from seeing and showing ourselves as we are, and from freely expressing our innermost thoughts, feelings, and needs. Instead, we try to mask them with a variety of words and gestures, “communication arts,” behind which we conceal our true nature. Not expressing our feelings, not wanting to live our inner truth, means not wanting to take responsibility for ourselves, giving up part of ourselves, or becoming a slave to our fears and other people.

From the pleasure and pain principle of the 2nd chakra, the sacral chakra, we have already learned that the universe will guide us by moving us forward unhindered and easily when we are on the right path, and then gently placing obstacles in our way when we stray from it. We must now build on this and improve the plan so that we are following the right path. This means we must always strive to constantly reexamine our values ​​and moral principles.
