The stomach – mirror of our emotional food

Stomach NL (2)

The stomach,

mirror of our

emotional food

The stomach, from an emotional perspective

The stomach, mirror of the digestion of our emotional food

The stomach symbolizes the feeling of processing, the warmth of a nest, feeling accepted in a community, inner security, basic trust and is the centre of dissolution.

The stomach is our collection centre for everything we ingest and swallow. Be it food, drinks, medication, as well as energetic and emotional impressions, feelings, thoughts, experiences, memories, as well as weakening or loving words and images from outside. It reflects how we deal with these in particular and how we absorb them. It therefore not only stores physical substances, but also our reactions to experiences and impressions.

Our stomach, a marvelous mirror

Our stomach is a marvelous mirror that shows us how we deal emotionally with what we encounter. How well we are able to deal with, process, digest and assimilate emotions and what we take in mentally. This can also include impulses, experiences, situations, encounters, thought patterns, etc.

For many people, the stomach is a weak point and therefore also an indicator of the current emotional state.

Solar plexus (3rd chakra) and stomach

The stomach lies at the level of the solar plexus – our solar plexus, our inner sun, our deepest self. Among other things, the solar plexus stands for our self-confidence, the human will and the so-called gut feeling. Fears or a lack of trust in ourselves can manifest as stomach problems.

According to Dr Klinghardt (psychokinesiology), the stomach also stands for:

The organ language of the stomach makes it impressively clear to us how deeply interwoven body and mind are. It invites us to immerse ourselves in self-reflection, to dig deeper to recognise the underlying emotional causes rather than just treating the physical symptoms. She encourages us to better understand and accept ourselves and our emotions in order to create a space for healing.

Stomach problems and their emotional side/cause

Stomach rumbling, squeezing or tightening

It is possible that we are ignoring our gut feeling, which is urgently trying to tell us something. It is ignored because we don’t trust it or ourselves. messages such as:

Drawing pains in the stomach

They can be an indication of hunger.  In a figurative sense, a feeling of hunger means that we are not nourished energetically / emotionally. The following aspects can give us important clues here

Gastritis (inflammation of the stomach lining)

An ending in -itis indicates that inflammation is involved and that emotions such as anger, irritation and indignation are at the root.

  • Who or what is making me angry?
  • What unresolved, undigested situation is ‘burning’ on my soul?
  • What expectations of people or situations are not being fulfilled as I had imagined?
  • Where do I still feel like I am being controlled by someone or fate?
  • Where do I feel respected and valued? (from myself and others?)

They can also be an indication of

We must understand that we do not have power over other people or situations. But we do have a finite power over our thinking, which gives us the opportunity to change our thoughts at any time about what irritates us so much or even makes us angry.

Gastric ulcer (ulcus ventriculi)

A gastric ulcer is usually preceded by inflammation (gastritis). The issue with both is basically the same. A peptic ulcer is the consequence of not really looking after ourselves and our gastritis. The mucous membrane is now attacked to such an extent that it is no longer just inflamed, but damaged and scarred. We should be aware that an ulcer wants to show us that what is still fermenting in us, undigested and rejected, is eating us up inside. The following other aspects can be behind a stomach ulcer:

Vomiting

This is about something that you do not want to accept and therefore vehemently reject.

  • What do you not want to accept under any circumstances?
  • What repels you?
  • What makes you ‘vomit’?

Heartburn

Heartburn is one of the aforementioned manifestations of certain emotions. Here, something is also burning inside us or making us ‘foam at the mouth’ with anger. The following questions to ourselves can provide clues:

Stomach and spine

A connection between the stomach and the spine is reflected in the thoracic spine, especially in TH 5-7.

  • TH5 (=5th thoracic vertebra) shows a connection to complaints of the liver, blood pressure (low), circulation and everything that has to do with the stomach. TH5 is associated with the 3rd chakra (solar plexus). Emotional issues behind it are: suppressed anger, disturbed sense of self, rejection due to infidelity of a close person (feeling of betrayal). >> light yellow regeneration wheel, >> pink light
  • TH6 is associated with digestive disorders and heartburn. Emotional themes: Worry, sorrow, disappointment, criticism, swallows too much, disgust. >> green light, >> pink light
  • TH7 is related to diseases of the gastrointestinal system (ulcers and gastritis) and the pancreas. Emotional themes: same as TH6. >> green light, >> pink light

If you have stomach problems, you can support yourself by wearing the Light-Crystals mentioned above.
