Cookies
Our website uses cookies. Cookies are files that allow our website to store personalized information in the browser of your device. They primarily serve to simplify the use of our website, but are also partly used for internal statistics. Our services can be used without cookies. You can deactivate cookies or set your browser to notify you as soon as cookies are sent. However, please note that the convenience of use may be limited without cookies. Further information on the use of cookies for advertising purposes can be found at http://www.meine-cookies.org/.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics on our website. We fully comply with the privacy policy, so we can use the Google cookie without permission.
We have a processor agreement with Google. You have disabled the “Share Data” option, and we do not use other Google services in combination with Google Analytics cookies. With this data and other data we have, we can never track who you are. Therefore, you can browse our website anonymously.
The data stored in Google Analytics is retained for 14 months. This is the shortest retention period we can set. We use this information to improve the website’s findability. Google’s tracking cookie is not subject to cookie law.
Integration of third-party services and content (plug-in providers)
YouTube videos
Integration of YouTube videos (a service of Google Inc.) (User note: optional, omitted if not integrated. If used, the extended data protection mode must be activated). We have integrated YouTube videos into our online offering. The videos stored on YouTube.com can be played directly from our website. This service uses cookies to
collect information about visitors to the website. The cookies are stored in the user’s browser when the page is accessed. A connection is established with the Google DoubleClick network. You can prevent cookies from being saved by setting your browser accordingly. To do this, you must select “do not accept cookies” or a corresponding formulation in your browser settings. In this case, you may not be able to play the respective video.
All of our videos are embedded in “extended data protection mode.” When this mode is activated, information is only saved when you actively click on the embedded video to play it. When you play the videos, further data processing operations are triggered. The data specified in the section “Collection and storage of personal data when you visit our website” is transferred. We have no influence on this data transfer. When you visit the website, YouTube receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website. In addition,
the data specified in the section “Collection and storage of personal data when you visit our website” of this declaration is transferred. This also happens if you do not have a YouTube/Google user account or are not logged in there.
If you are logged into your Google or YouTube account, your data will be associated with your Google account. If you do not wish to be associated with your YouTube profile, you must log out of your account before playing the video. YouTube stores your data as user profiles and uses them for the purposes of advertising, market research, statistical analysis, and/or tailoring its website to meet your needs. Such an analysis is carried out in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to provide tailored advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on my website.
You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles. To exercise this right, please contact YouTube. Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and processing by YouTube can be found in their
privacy policy. There you will also find further information on your rights and setting options for protecting your privacy: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy . Google also processes your personal data in the USA and has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework .
The Ascension Europe websites do not use any plugins for social media platforms. We simply provide you with a link there if you are interested in our presentation there. The legal basis for the use of plugins is Art. 6
(1) (f) GDPR. The data is passed on regardless of whether you have an account with the plug-in provider and are logged in there. If you are logged in with the plug-in provider, the data we collect about you will be directly assigned to your account with the plug-in provider. If you click the activated button and, for example, link to the page, the plug-in provider also saves this information in your user account and publicly shares it with your contacts. I recommend that you log out regularly after using a social network, but especially before activating the button, as this will prevent your data from being assigned to your profile with the plug-in provider. Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and processing by the plug-in provider can be found
in the privacy policies of these providers provided below. There you will also find further information on your rights in this regard and setting options for protecting your privacy.
