Disturbances in this chakra essentially show up on the mental and spiritual level, for example in the form of nightmares, fears, worries, stress, the feeling of aimlessness and meaninglessness as well as head-heaviness, a life that is shaped exclusively by intellect and reason, intellectual arrogance, a devotion to science, attachment to the rational, depression, schizophrenia, we can analyze sharply, but we lack the perspective and the ability to integrate into a larger cosmic context.
The more our brow chakra, our third eye, is developed, the more our thinking rests on a direct, inner perception of reality. We enter into a comprehensive understanding, a wisdom that lies beyond anything that can be learned, beyond intellectual knowledge and academic studies. The brow chakra, or third eye, establishes a connection to the spiritual world. It enables intuitive insights and points to the realm that emerges once the dualistic perception of the world is overcome and the mind becomes still. The cause of the lack of clarity many of us experience lies in the projection of the past onto the present. We are dominated by our past experiences and react out of prejudices or protective mechanisms, as if we were still in the original situation. We can only evolve further if we say goodbye to these conditioned models.
